Leadership rooted in community and service
Geri Aanonsen is dedicated to thoughtful stewardship, responsible governance, and preserving the unique character of Taylors Falls for every resident.
A message from Geri
Being mayor is not about one person, one resume or one person’s pursuit of recognition. It is about serving the people who live here. Too often, when the same voices have been at the table for a long time, it can become easy to stop hearing the voices asking for something different. Geri believes leadership means opening the door, welcoming different perspectives, and making sure every resident has a place at the table. She doesn’t expect everyone to agree with her, and she doesn’t believe you have to vote for her to deserve to be heard. Being mayor is an honor, but most importantly, it is a responsibility to every person who calls Taylors Falls home.
Protecting what makes Taylors Falls special
From our historic storefronts to the bluffs along the St. Croix River, Geri knows that tourism and local businesses matter because they support jobs and our local economy. But so do the people who live here year round. They pay taxes, fill our schools, support local businesses, volunteer, and make Taylors Falls a community. Growth can be good, but it should come with investment in the people and infrastructure already here. Geri believes we can welcome new opportunities while making sure residents have the services, parks, sidewalks, library access, and quality of life they deserve.
